Iraqis are people that were in a government with no say or opportunity to determine their own future. With the war I really don't think its black and white, but tend to defend it because I think that there are enough reasons for the war, one of which being liberating people that didn't have the freedom of determining their own future like we do. As far as liberating the poor in our own country, the federal budget for it is already at 4 trillion dollars. i've said that a million times. with four trillion dollars we should be able to solve these problems but i think the excess regulation that exists in government is hurting all memebers of society. I think privatizing would lower costs all around. There's no need to take more from people's income when its already at 30% and at the highest level 51%. Its not that I don't care about people, its looking at the programs and seeing that they're not helping any and that increasing funding to them isn't the answer. There's a lot of change that needs to be made, its not just that people dont' do for themselves b/c with the way things are now it can be hard to. I think if the things I've said before that are wrong would change and on top of it people would accept that responsibility, things would change for the better.

Even if that is a legitimate figure, it obviously isn't enough. There are still people in the streets. Cutting programs isn't the answer, making them better is. Privatization isn't the answer. Privatization brings profit into the picture, which brings about the goal of making the most money with the least work.

Let's take money from our bloated defense budget and put it towards mental health, let's take that cash for the bombs and put it toward someone's education, let's take an AK out of a soldiers hand and buy a homeless person some food.

Let's not let some corporate pig take advantage of the poor and the sick. Take some responsibility, the system has done well for you, help out those who it's fucked over.
